Does the Soft Call Recorder comply with the law concerning the recording of calls?

This depends on the law in your country or region. The Soft Call Recorder has two features to notify the other party of the recording. The law often requires this. The notification can be done by sounding a beep on a regular basis, or by sounding an announcement announcing the recording. How do I distinguish one recording from another?

The Soft Call Recorder has a database of recordings. Not only is the time and date of each recording displayed. You can also add a name or notes to the recordings. The duration of the calls is also displayed in the database     How do I set up my audio playback and audio record on Softcall USB?   This audio can be set up in two differnt ways.  The first way is clicking on the options menu on the software, then selecting device.  Enter Sofcall USB as playback under the dropdown.  The other is selecting your PC sound device as playback.  Note: that under your control panel that the playback and audio playback matches your default choice under the Softcall software application. Although on most windows when connecting the Softcall USB this will make this device the primary audio.playback on your PC.     Can Softcall detect a fax singal from a phone answer?   Only of you have recorded settings set to hook on/hoof off.  If you want to avoid this change the recorded setting to voice only detection.     Do I have to start the recording for every call?   No, if you are using a normal analog phone line the Soft Call Recorder will detect the On and Off Hook of your phone by itself. You can configure the Soft Call Recorder to start recoding automatically when a call is made. If you are using a digital phone line the Soft Call Recorder can be configured to start recording on a voice activated basis. The Soft Call Recorder will start recording whenever there is activity on the phone line.

Can I save recordings in different archives?

Yes, the Soft Call Recorder program allows you to open different archives. You can save recordings to whichever archive you want. This is one of the main program functions of the Soft Call Recorder.

Does the Softcall Recorder record my answering machine?

This depends on the way you have the Soft Call Recorder connected to your phone. If you have an analog phone line and you have the Soft Call Recorder like that it will record your answering machine. If you have a digital phone line and you have connected the Soft Call Recorder to the Handset it will not record your answering machine.

If I have a VoIP will the Softcall still record?

Whether the phone set is analog, digital, or VoIP, the 1168 Softcall USB  records the analog audio where it is connected between the handset and the phone base.
